On January 1, 2019, Dr. Claus Bischoff will become the new Chief Technology Officer and member of the Management Board of the mechatronics specialist Marquardt.
Rietheim-Weilheim, Germany, December 10, 2018 – The Marquardt Group has a new management member: Dr. Claus Bischoff will join the Management Board on January 1, 2019 as the new Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for the Development and Engineering Service divisions of the globally active mechatronics expert. He succeeds Karl Müller, who will retire at the end of February.

Dr. Claus Bischoff is moving from Continental AG to the mechatronics specialist. At Continental, the graduate engineer was held most recently the position of Head of Engineering with responsibility for development in the area of hybrid and electric vehicle systems. He previously held management positions at Magna International AG and Robert Bosch GmbH.
Karl Müller has been working for Marquardt since 1989 and was initially responsible for microswitches for the automotive industry. In 1995, he was Head of Automotive Development and, from 2007, Vice President for Product Development. He was appointed to the Management Board in 2015 and has since been Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for Sales, Development, Engineering Service, Cost Engineering, Claim Management and Project Management.
The other members of the Marquardt Management Board are Dr. Harald Marquardt (Chief Executive Officer), Jochen Becker (Chief Operating Officer) and Dr. Gregor Schmeken (Chief Financial Officer).
